  Agenda Items and Discussions

1. Bargaining Survey Committee:

• The union discussed forming a Bargaining Survey Committee.

• Purpose: To collect feedback from members on workplace concerns and standard questions.

• Updated members present that a survey was going to be presented to all the departments in the city.

2. Training Initiatives: 

• No Update at this time on the schedule for these trainings

3. A member reported an issue with the clothing allowance

• A department is provided two shirts and two pairs of pants but not shoes, coats, hats, gloves, or safety vests.

• Can they request more?

5. A member in another Department reported  

• Employees are required to wear specific clothing but do not receive a clothing allowance 

• Employees are threatened with a “negative contact” if they wear something the supervisor doesn’t approve of 

6. Text Messaging System:

• Still looking into a viable option for sending a mass text

• This would also require the employees cell phone number

• Union currently sends emails to members.

• Action Item: Collect personal email addresses instead of relying on pueblo.us addresses.

7. Bylaws Update:

• With the lifting of the administratorship, PAGE bylaws need to be revised and modernized to align with AFSCME standards.

• Action Item: Need to link to the by laws on the website.
